The MP990 delivers all of the features that were in the MP980 and adds a few extras along with faster speed and improved text quality. It prints, scans, copies, and e-mails—launching an e-mail message on your PC and adding the scanned document as an attachment. Note too that scanning includes the ability to scan 35 film (both slides and strips of film) as well as photos and documents. One highly useful new trick is the ability to scan to a memory card or USB memory key.
